MACHU PICCHU BY VAN 2 Days / 1 Night – Adventure Experience

Your adventure begins with hotel pickup in Cusco at approximately 7:40 a.m. as we travel by tourist van toward the Sacred Valley.

Along the route, we pass through Ollantaytambo while enjoying spectacular views of the Andes, traditional villages, fertile valleys, and dramatic mountain landscapes.

We then continue along a winding scenic road toward Abra Málaga, located at 4,316 m / 14,160 ft above sea level, one of the highest and most spectacular points of the journey.

From there, we begin our descent into the cloud forest, passing through diverse ecological zones and microclimates where snow-capped mountains gradually give way to lush tropical vegetation and stunning natural scenery.

We continue toward Santa Teresa and the Hydroelectric Station, where we will enjoy lunch at approximately 1:30 p.m.

After lunch, we begin our scenic hike from the Hydroelectric Station to Aguas Calientes. This pleasant walk covers approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) and takes around 3 hours, following a route surrounded by mountains, rivers, and abundant vegetation.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our staff will welcome you and assist with your hotel check-in.

Later, you will meet with your guide for a briefing regarding the following day’s visit to Machu Picchu.

For those who wish, there is an optional opportunity to visit the famous Aguas Calientes Hot Springs, the perfect way to relax after the day’s adventure.
