Along the route, you will encounter impressive Inca archaeological remains, stone-paved trails, agricultural terraces, and a remarkable diversity of Andean and subtropical ecosystems.

The highlight of the journey is your arrival at Machu Picchu through the legendary Sun Gate (Intipunku), where you will enjoy one of the most unforgettable panoramic views of the Lost City of the Incas.

Itinerario
Día 1

DAY 1: CUSCO – KM 104 – WIÑAY WAYNA – SUN GATE (INTIPUNKU) – AGUAS CALIENTES

Your adventure begins early in the morning with a transfer from your hotel in Cusco to the train station. From there, we travel to Kilometer 104, the starting point of one of the most scenic sections of the legendary Inca Trail.

From this point, we begin our hike through spectacular Andean and cloud forest landscapes, following ancient stone pathways once traveled by the Incas.

After approximately 3 hours of hiking, we arrive at the remarkable archaeological site of Wiñay Wayna (2,900 m / 9,514 ft), considered one of the most beautiful and important Inca sites along the entire trail.

Along the route, you will encounter lush vegetation, native orchids, breathtaking mountain scenery, and picturesque waterfalls that enhance the magic of the experience.

After enjoying lunch surrounded by nature, we continue hiking for approximately 2 additional hours toward the legendary Sun Gate (Intipunku).

This iconic viewpoint offers your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu, one of the most emotional and unforgettable moments of the entire journey.

After taking in the breathtaking scenery, we descend toward the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night.

Día 2

DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

After breakfast, we begin our visit to the magnificent citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the most extraordinary archaeological sites in the world.

Upon arrival, your professional guide will lead a comprehensive guided tour lasting approximately 2 hours, sharing insights into the history, architecture, spirituality, and mysteries that continue to surround this iconic Inca sanctuary.

During the visit, you will explore the most important sectors of the citadel while enjoying spectacular views and unique photographic opportunities.

For travelers seeking an additional challenge, there is an optional opportunity to hike Huayna Picchu Mountain, subject to advance reservation and permit availability.

After your visit, we return to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Ollantaytambo.

Upon arrival, our private transportation will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco.
