Day 1

CATHEDRAL – QORICANCHA – SAQSAYHUAMAN – QENQO – PUCAPUCARA

CATHEDRAL – QORICANCHA – SAQSAYHUAMAN – QENQO – PUCAPUCARA

Your experience begins with hotel pickup in Cusco at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Our first stop will be the magnificent Cusco Cathedral, located on the city’s iconic Main Square. This impressive colonial monument houses an extraordinary collection of religious artwork, remarkable architecture, and fascinating examples of the fusion between Andean traditions and Spanish influence.

Next, we will visit Qoricancha, the legendary Temple of the Sun and one of the most important religious centers of the Inca Empire. Renowned for its perfectly fitted stone walls and exceptional engineering, this sacred site held profound spiritual significance within the Andean worldview.

We then continue by private transportation to Saqsayhuaman, located just outside the city. This extraordinary archaeological complex is famous for its colossal stone blocks, expertly carved and assembled with astonishing precision. It is also the principal stage for the annual Inti Raymi Festival, the Festival of the Sun, celebrated every June 24th.

Our journey continues to Qenqo, an important ceremonial and religious center where significant Inca rituals once took place. Its carved stone channels, underground chambers, and intricate rock formations reveal the sacred nature of this remarkable site.

Finally, we visit Pucapucara, an ancient Inca checkpoint and resting place strategically positioned along the route. From here, visitors can enjoy beautiful views of the Andean landscape surrounding Cusco.

At the conclusion of the tour, we will return you to your hotel or to a previously coordinated location within the city.
