Discover the grandeur of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, one of the most important, fertile, and captivating regions of the ancient Inca Empire.

Nestled between majestic Andean mountains and crossed by the Vilcanota River—also known as the Urubamba River or Wilcamayu—this valley was considered sacred due to its exceptional geographical, climatic, and agricultural conditions.

During Inca times, the Sacred Valley served as one of the empire’s most important agricultural centers, renowned especially for its high-quality corn production. It was also a strategic location for the construction of fortresses, ceremonial centers, agricultural terraces, and thriving communities that continue to preserve their cultural heritage today.

This full-day experience allows you to explore some of the valley’s most iconic sites while combining archaeology, living culture, extraordinary landscapes, and enduring traditions.

Itinerario
Día 1

CUSCO – PISAC – URUBAMBA – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CHINCHERO – CUSCO

At approximately 8:40 a.m., we begin our journey from the previously coordinated meeting point in Cusco.

Our first stop will be a scenic viewpoint overlooking the majestic Sacred Valley. This is the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photographs and admire the breathtaking Andean landscape.

We then continue to the town of Pisac, famous for its traditional artisan market, where you can browse locally crafted textiles, ceramics, jewelry, and handmade souvenirs.

Next, we visit the impressive Pisac Archaeological Complex, one of the most important Inca sites in the Sacred Valley. During the guided tour, you will discover its agricultural terraces, ceremonial structures, ancient pathways, and extraordinary architecture overlooking the surrounding mountains.

We then travel to Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch featuring a selection of local and international specialties.

After lunch, we continue to Ollantaytambo, considered one of the most important living Inca towns in Peru. Here, we will explore its remarkable archaeological complex, renowned for its monumental terraces, temples, stone walls, and strategic mountain setting.

On our return journey to Cusco, we will visit Chinchero, a traditional Andean village celebrated for its textile heritage, Inca and colonial history, and spectacular mountain scenery. Here, you will discover part of its archaeological complex and experience the rich cultural traditions that remain alive today.

Arrival back in Cusco is scheduled for approximately 7:00 p.m.
