Día 1

DAY 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – CHALLACANCHA – SORAYPAMPA | HUMANTAY LAKE

Your journey begins in the early hours of the morning with a private pick-up from your hotel. We will embark on a scenic drive through the enchanting Andean landscapes until reaching Challacancha, the starting point of this extraordinary expedition.

Along the way, you will admire the majestic snow-capped silhouettes of the sacred Salkantay and Humantay mountains, revered as protective deities in Inca cosmology.

After a brief stop in Mollepata, we continue to the trailhead, where our dedicated team will prepare every logistical detail to ensure a seamless and refined experience.

The initial trek leads us through deep valleys and ancient trails, where centuries-old irrigation channels are still in use today. After approximately three hours of hiking, we arrive at Soraypampa, where a carefully prepared lunch awaits.

In the afternoon, we ascend to the breathtaking Humantay Lake, a pristine natural sanctuary with striking turquoise waters reflecting the surrounding glaciers. This surreal landscape offers one of the most unforgettable moments of the journey.

As night falls, your camp provides a truly unique experience under crystal-clear skies, where you can admire constellations, shooting stars, and the vast Andean cosmos from the comfort of your exclusive Sky Camp.

Día 2

DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA – SALKANTAY PASS – HUAYRACMACHAY – CHAULLAY

We begin the day with an energizing breakfast before taking on one of the most iconic highlights of the expedition: the ascent to the Salkantay Pass (4,650 m / 15,255 ft).

As you climb, you will witness a remarkable transformation of the landscape, surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks such as Salkantay, Humantay, Tucarhuay, and Pumasillo.

Upon reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views—an awe-inspiring moment that defines the day.

We then descend toward Huayracmachay for lunch, followed by a dramatic transition into the cloud forest, where the environment shifts into a warmer, more humid, and vibrant ecosystem.

The day concludes in Chaullay, nestled at the gateway between the Andes and the Amazon, where you can unwind in a truly unique natural setting.

Día 3

DAY 3: CHAULLAY – COLLPAPAMPA – LA PLAYA – LUCMABAMBA

Today, you fully enter the lush cloud forest region, where nature reveals its most vibrant expression. Throughout the journey, you will be accompanied by the soothing sounds of rivers, waterfalls, and an extraordinary diversity of flora and fauna.

Along the trail, you will encounter plantations of coffee, bananas, avocados, and tropical fruits such as passion fruit and granadilla.

We will visit Collpapampa, known as the “Eyebrow of the Cloud Forest,” where nature thrives in its purest form. With a bit of luck, you may spot the iconic Andean Cock-of-the-Rock, Peru’s national bird.

After lunch in La Playa, we continue to Lucmabamba, where you will explore an organic coffee plantation and learn about its traditional production process.

Día 4

DAY 4: LUCMABAMBA – LLACTAPATA – HYDROELECTRIC – AGUAS CALIENTES

After a carefully prepared breakfast, we begin one of the most remarkable days of the journey, including a section of the legendary Inca Trail.

Following a scenic ascent, we reach the archaeological site of Llactapata, offering a privileged and truly unique view of the magnificent Machu Picchu, along with Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu Mountain.

We then descend toward the Hydroelectric station for lunch, before continuing to Aguas Calientes.

Día 5

DAY 5: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

The moment you’ve been waiting for has arrived.

Early this morning, we’ll ascend to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu to soak up its mystical atmosphere in the first hours of the day.

We’ll take a private guided tour of approximately two hours, exploring temples, terraces, ceremonial sites, and agricultural areas, while uncovering the secrets of one of history’s most advanced civilizations.

Optionally, you can climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (advance booking required).

Finally, we’ll return by train to Ollantaytambo and then by private transport to your hotel in Cusco, concluding this unforgettable experience.
