Itinerario
Día 1

Cusco – Waqrapukara – Cusco

Your adventure begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. Once the group is assembled, we will depart in private tourist transportation toward the southern region of Cusco, traveling through beautiful Andean landscapes, traditional villages, and expansive high-altitude plains.

Along the way, we will stop in the village of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a hearty breakfast specially prepared to fuel us for the day ahead.

We will then continue to the community of Santa Lucía, where we will take a scenic secondary road leading to Punta Carretera, the starting point of our hike.

Upon arrival, we will have time for final preparations, receive recommendations from our guide, and admire the spectacular natural surroundings.

We will then begin our trek to Waqrapukara, covering approximately 2.5 kilometers along Andean trails over the course of about 1 hour and 30 minutes. As we progress, we will be rewarded with stunning views of mountains, valleys, and dramatic rock formations that signal the proximity of one of Cusco’s most extraordinary and least-explored archaeological sites.

Upon reaching Waqrapukara, you will discover this magnificent Inca sanctuary dramatically positioned above the Apurímac Canyon. Your professional guide will share the history, ceremonial significance, and cultural importance of this fascinating archaeological complex, considered by many to be one of the hidden jewels of the Andes.

Following the guided tour, you will have free time to explore at your own pace, admire the spectacular scenery, and capture unforgettable photographs of one of Peru’s most remarkable destinations.

Afterward, we will enjoy a delicious box lunch surrounded by the serenity and grandeur of the Andes.

Finally, we will return along the same route to Punta Carretera, where our private transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusco.

Arrival in Cusco is scheduled for approximately 6:00 p.m.
