Día 1

CUSCO – PACCHANTA – AUSANGATE 7 LAKES CIRCUIT – PACCHANTA – CUSCO

Our adventure begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at approximately 5:00 a.m. From there, we will journey to the remote Andean community of Pacchanta, nestled at the foot of the majestic Ausangate Mountain.

Along the route, you will travel through spectacular high-altitude landscapes, traditional Andean communities, and pristine natural environments that showcase the authentic beauty of the Peruvian Andes.

Upon arrival in Pacchanta, we will enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast specially prepared to energize us for the day ahead. Following breakfast, your guide will provide an introduction to the route, the geography of the area, and the cultural and spiritual significance of Mount Ausangate within Andean traditions.

We will then begin the spectacular Ausangate 7 Lakes Circuit, one of the most impressive trekking routes in the Cusco region. Over approximately five hours, we will explore mountain trails surrounded by glaciers, vast grasslands, and landscapes that appear untouched by time.

Throughout the trek, we will visit the stunning lakes of Azulqocha, Orco Otorongo, China Otorongo, Puqacocha, Alqacocha, Qomercocha, and Patacocha. Each lake displays unique colors ranging from vivid turquoise and emerald green to crystal-clear shades of blue.

The landscape is framed by some of the most iconic peaks of the Vilcanota Mountain Range, including the magnificent Ausangate, as well as Mariposa, Jampa, Pucapunta, Caracol, and Tinke Mountains, creating one of the most spectacular mountain panoramas in Peru.

During the trek, it is common to encounter native wildlife such as alpacas, llamas, vizcachas, and numerous Andean bird species. With a bit of luck, you may even spot the majestic Andean Condor soaring above the mountains.

After completing the circuit, we will return to the community of Pacchanta, where a delicious lunch prepared with local ingredients awaits.

As the perfect conclusion to this remarkable experience, you will have the opportunity to relax in Pacchanta’s natural hot springs, renowned for their therapeutic properties and privileged views of Mount Ausangate. It is the ideal setting to unwind, recharge, and admire the grandeur of the Andes.

Finally, we will begin our return journey to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 p.m.
